Thermo-coagulation (heating)

The following skin imperfections are superficial which can be treated effectively by Thermo-coagulation. The process will improve the skins appearance by reducing or eliminating those unwanted imperfections. They the following skin imperfections are all easily removed by thermo-coagulation.

CHERRY ANGIOMA (RUBY POINTS)

Cherry Angiomas are also known as ruby points. Larger Angiomas are also referred to as Campbell spots. They are the most common vascular lesion; they consist of highly concentrated dilated capillaries and can be flat to the skin or larger and slightly raised (Campbell spot). Therefore their appearance is a cherry red to purplish colour.

THREAD VEINS (SPIDER VEINS)

Thread veins are smaller red, purple and blue vessels that are easily seen through the skin, mainly affecting the face, chest and legs. Unlike varicose veins, spider veins are typically not raised above the skin’s surface. They may cause symptoms of itching, irritation, discomfort and aching pain especially when standing for long periods.

Thread veins are an extremely common condition, affecting approximately 50% of the Western population, both men and women, of all ages. Although they have no detrimental health consequences, they can be unsightly and significantly affect a person’s confidence.

Removal of these vessels causes no risk to the health of the skin. When these are removed, new normal-size capillaries grow to efficiently feed the skin.

FIBROMA

A fibroma is a benign, tumor-like growth made up of mostly of fibrous or connective tissue. They develop when uncontrolled cell growth occurs, or as a result of an injury or local irritation. Fibromas can form anywhere on the body to people any age and either sex, but mostly seen in adults. On the skin we can develop hard and soft fibromas.

SKIN TAG

Skin tags are small growths of epithelium and usually appear with age. They can be the same color as the skin or darker and have a small capillary connection with the skin. They can be with or without base and are often found on the neck and upper torso.
